CATS Tanzania Limited, has been in the industry for over 35 years, having first existed as ICL Tanzania Limited. CATS saw the light of day in the early 1960s as International Computers Limited (Tanzania) — a wholly owned subsidiary of International Computers Limited, one of the largest Information Technology companies in Europe. In 1986, ICL (Tanzania) came under complete local management when it became Computers and Telecoms Systems (Tanzania) Ltd.
